I currently am a school bus driver for Fairfax County Public Schools in Virginia. My wife and I want to move to Myrtle Beach hopefully within the next couple of years. Can anyone give me input as to job availability in Horry County (or the surrounding counties as well--lets say within 30 - 40 miles of Myrtle Beach). What are the average wages? Typical number of hours worked in a week? Quality of busses? I currently earn almost $17.00 an hour, and have a 35 hour per week guarantee. Virtually all of the busses here in Fairfax County are Amtran transit style, most with A/C.
