What are typical business process analyst salaries? Do some companies pay a lot more for this position than others? What does a top earner make in this field?

Just got offered 93k in Richmond Virginia. According to salary scales this is on the high end. The job comes with a one year contract to hire condition. I am a little wary of this, though it is with a reputable company. In my experience the most has been a 6 month contract to hire. All my experiences going in contract to hire have been positive. Any advice you can offer?
