How much easier is it to obtain a B license over an A license ??
What are the differences between tests and knowledge of both licenses ?

Is there much of a difference in pay ?

Does it come down too experience ?

Thanks

Its not the same B allows you to drive a bus or a truck under 33,000lbs A allows you to drive trator-trailers up to 80,000.A is harder without a doubt because of the lenght of the vehicle etc,but the pay isn't much different driving B or A the deal is to get a Union job driving A class but its hard to get that kind job.I have both A & B with all endorsements and its hard out there to really get the right start but don't let that keep you back form getting it! You need to know what you want to do and go for it.

To be honest your better off just going with your A. the written test is not different "depends what state your in* and the CDL A will cover B and while your at it go for all the endorsements you can. When you do your driving test for Class A, most schools and such will set you up with the shortest combo possible. no law says you have to be tested on a over the road tractor with a 53ft trailer which can sometimes be up to 70ft long in length. Most set you up with a day cab with a 28-30ft trailer *and hopefully with a tandem axle trailer for backing them singles axles will get away from you quick
