I was raised in St. Louis and my uncle Ralph lived in Joliet when I was young. Are you on the Mississipi? The flooding up there is unbeleiveable!

I took the state test and was very nervous and failed my first time. Just relax and you will do fine. You have three chances to pass it and just do you best and good luck.

I did my classes a year ago, but my husband and I got pregnant so I put it on the back burner. Now I am ready to step up and test. I test in 3 weeks scared so bad. I am not nervous about the written it's the clinical. What things do they make you do?

Congrats !! They make you wash your hands and then they give you 3 skills to do and I had to do vitals, making a bed, and foot care. They may ask you how to wash dentures, how to move a resident from the bed to the wheel chair and wheel chair to the bed. Positioning the resident, to feeding the resident and so on. It is pretty simple if you and your partner are relaxed. You will be fine and just calm down. THe more nervous you are the more likely you'll make mistakes. If you need any more help don't hesitate to write me and GOOD LUCK!!!

the written test is so easy.. every answer is "report to the nurse!".. it's all multiple choice and is so easy!.. the skills part wasn't bad for me.. you have to act out what you're doing on a partner.. just remember to say "i am knocking on the door", and then "mr. smith, my name is katie, i'm here to take your blood pressure.".. as long as you remember the basics, you'll be fine!.. if you skip one step, it's okay.. they just want to make sure you know what you're doing!.. i was worried about mine too lol it's so easy though!! you'll be fine.. good luck!!

I have taken a CNA class that was a joint class in high school but thought taking the actual certification test would be useless in the medical field i am going to college for. I now would like to take the test to obtain a job but I don't want to have to take another class for something I have already learned. If anyone could advise me on this it would be highly appreciated.

I am so appaauled that i was scheduled to take cna exam today at a center in new york and had to rescheduled because the examiner turned up but the center wasn't opened. What slackness! now the exam will take place 8/23..i canot beleive prometric is so irresponsible as to not cordinate with the center as to what time the center is opened

i took my cna test about a month ago..and i was very nervous going into the skill portion, but as long as you know the basics you will be fine, if you pay attention than you should have nothing to worry about. The written portion is a little harder, but once agian, if you pay attention you will pass with flying colors. It is not as hard as everyone makes it out to be.

I have just taken my CNA on August 12,2008 skills test it is scored in five areas after you complete the written test...
it tells you what areas you passed and what areas you failed you can fail two areas of the test and still pass.
If you failed three areas automatically failure.I can put a copy on web if you would like to see the results after
taking the written. I passed both skills and written the first time however my partner failed her skills test If you
have any other questions I will be happy to help you.I am currently in school for RN and hope to work as a CNA until completion of College good luck with your skills test you can email at slimevonn@yahoo.com

It isn't all too bad. The written was pretty simple...mostly common sense. The skills part was a little nerve-wracking-not knowing what you are going to have to perform.
I had to perform three basic skills...feeding, repostioning PT. to left side, and the other one was...Pulse and Respirations. Not too bad. Just make sure to wash hands before and after-although it's not prompted to do so, WASH! make sure Call light is close to them and keep good communication. :)
