It's been two yrs already that my certificate for nurse assistant expired. I didn't renew it. Now I need to apply for RN, and I need my certificate number for nurse assistant, since that is being asked on the application, but I don't have that number. Is there a website that I can go to or a phone# that I can call so that I can get my CNA number? Thanks.

I am also a nurse's aid currently and was a medical assistant in the past. I am now applying to take my NCLEX for my RN and am not sure where to find this information.

People go to the board of nursing in your state. If you need your cna license to become an RN, then you might have to retake the entire class again. I don't remember there being a requirement to get your RN, you had to be a cna. If you completed fundamentals of nursing then you can sit for the boards. But once again, check with the board of nursing and then check with your school to be sure.

Go to www.PearsonVue.com and search the registry. It will give you your certification number by entering your name and birth date. I am assuming you are applying for an RN licensure which asks if you have had any prior certifications. It only takes a minute to do. It also tells if there are any claims againts your certification and if it is current. Hope this helps.
