Hi ! for you or anyone else who wants to become a CNA and are looking for classes I suggest you go to your local unemployment office. See if they offer job training. Where I live it is found at Resource One office. Ask about CNA training. You may find there is training onsite or you can choose from other schools on their approved list. You must be economically disadvantaged or on assistance to qualify. There is a test to pass and and a few other requirements to do before you can get up to $4000 in my area for job training. You will be required to visit at least two schools. Shop carefully, even though it is free to you, you want to choose the schoo with good reputatation and you get a good feel about. I turned down one school basically minutes away from me because upon visiting, I felt they offered poor customer service. Instead I will go to another school a bit of a distance that I feel much better about and have learned they have a stellar reputation. You are only required to visit two schools, but I interviewed others over the phone also. I wanted to know if they offered job placement, hhow many were offered jobs where they trained at,what was the overall percentage of CNAS who found employment. Where they trained at,and if the clinical site was easy to get to. Cost concerned me to,even though I am not paying. The average cost was a range of over $1000 up to and over $2000. I would be highly suspicious of a school that charged $3000 or above.Other places to look on your own are your local community colleges and vocational schools. Also the Red Cross. The only drawback is training takes longer, up t0 4-6 months.

I suggest www.AccreditedNursingCoursesOnline.com, They offer courses in CNA, CHHA and CPR. I believe they only charge $50 for enrollment, that includes a CNA and CPR course. It worked for me, I live in Florida

Hi Sean, when you said that online website, worked for you, were you able to find a job?? I see it is relatively cheap, do you have to do any clinicals?

By law is not "approved training" unless it includes on-site lab/clinical training.

It really doesn't make much sense to try to do a portion of your CNA training online since you will be required to do clinical practice in-person anyways. Here is a huge list of CNA classes in Florida to choose from nurseslink.org/cna-training/florida/

Kim in Hollywood, Florida said: Before you're allowed to work as CNA you must be certified by the state. There are clinical portion of your job that you must be qualified. There are so much involved in your day to day hands on with patient. You can't expect to learn that by on line classes.

More info you can go here cnajobsearch.com

nobody expects that. it goes without saying but you got to start somewhere. so how about something usefull and incouraging for our next generation instead of something negitive. Nursing does not stop with you. It will go on long after you and I are long gone. So how about posting somthing usefull instead of something negitive.

www.AccreditedNursingCoursesOnline.com is a scam look deeper into them and you'll find their fake. There is no such thing as nationally recognized online programs. haha read their terms on the money back thing, what a rip-off. You guys in California need to take a local course, nothing is online at this time. San Jose does have a good school, I forget the name of the school. I was in that area for nursing school for a year.

No the online training is a joke, you must go to a Community
College , or other business that host the training . You will
need to be in a classroom for lab and clinical training that
you can not receive online. Training cost start around 300.00
to 500.00 for two, or three weeks. Then after taking the training
you must take the State Test to become a CNA
