What are typical cable technician salaries? Do some companies pay a lot more for this position than others? What does a top earner make in this field? What skills should you learn to increase your salary? |

Installers with 2-5 years experience can typically make between $12-16 an hour down here on the Gulf coast of Florida. BICSI or vendor certifications are always a good thing to have. |

I have been a cable tech for 5 years. I have taken 5 NCTI courses online and taken as many promotions as possible. I alittle over $18 an hour with full benifits. |

Our techs make anywhere from $10.50-$16 an hour. There are many promotional opportunities for pay increases such as the NCTI courses. |

This depends on whether or not the company is cheating you out of overtime, straight time, and piecework. |

This is my tenth year in the field and I make a little under 17.00 I have a Senior Masters Technician Certificate from Jones/NCTI, BICSI, and SCTE and recently got promoted to the Maintenance Department. At my company, certifications do NOT equal pay increases. Wish I was making 27-30+ per hour. |

I've been in the cable business in southern Ca for almost 5 years and made up to $25 at the most. Are you an installer for a cable company? Contacting company? Do you do residential installs, or commercial? What exactly is your positon to make up to $30 an hour after 4 years. |
