Im thinking about doing a 3 week paid training course with Triwire, after which, I would be hired as a full time tech. My concern however, is that they are hiring guys to simply act as support during this busy season and then drop us when the work slows down. The manager says he's never laid anyone off due to lack of work.

In order to commit to this, I will be taking a pay cut, but getting out of a job I'm sick of. I just dont want to be left high and dry come November.

Anyone out there have any comments/advice?

Thanks!

Listen man I've been a cable contractor for years. work slows. But barely ever stops. The only thing you worry about is your company losing a contract. but once your a trained tech, and have had time in the field you won't be out of a job very long. just fyi
