Be able to think on your feet and be creative

Good communication skills with customer

Invest in quality tools and know how to use them.

It'll Take more than 3 traits on becoming a Cable Tech...

* Has to be a will to impress and educate the customer (they are the reason you get a paycheck.
* Be very creative (as original poster stated)
* Be agile and dependable
* Be eager to learn and explore new ideas
* TEAMWORK
* Communication
* Take pride of your work
* Be in somewhat good physical condition
* Mentally Strong
* Love working outside
* Know-How attitude
* Again- creativity (your going to troubleshoot)

You need more than three.

1. You need to hold it together.
2. Break any fear of hieghts, claustrophobia, or heat.
3. Be a people person.
4. TEAMWORK as above meaning you need to to lookout for your team and help them.
5. Street smarts.
6. Math
7. Know your tools and what they can do.
8. Get a GPS.
9. As above (Has to be a will to impress and educate the customer (they are the reason you get a paycheck. )
10. Speed with out mistakes.
11. Suck up.
12. Read everything.
13. Ask your lead to help you move up.
