Hello were Connie & Bobby, am super interested in getting into the business of hauling/transporting cars. Like to start out with hauling 1-3.
Would like to know where does one start. I've done alot of reading doing my homework. My biggest concern is how do I go about learning all the safty features and how do you chain down cars? I've searched the net over & have yet to find a link/site with video or pics describing how to secure them down. We have enough since to know they go around the axles. My boyfriend drives dump trucks but never been a car hauler. PLEASE if anyone can email me or contact me through Yahoo msg kountrygal1965 I'd surely be most appreciative, also if someone living perhaps close by I'd be willing to pay for a crash coarse in showing us the ropes/how to's/safty precautions. Can't know enough right :)
Thanks so much and can't wait to hear some responces.

Have a good one.

Finially a responce! I can't tell you how much I've laid on this site today refreshing hoping for a responce. Very much am interested in speaking with this person.. I'm currently in Biloxi at the momment but in 2 weeks plan to move to Baton Rouge,La in search of work while tryen to learn about this hauling business. Will say we traveled to Baton Rough,La today to meet with a car dealership person which was a complet waist of time. We spoke on the ph and was clear I would come to learn about hauling. He had NO time. Waist of 40 bucks gas and a 3 hr drive. So yes I'm interestede. Please call email me for private info such as tele. ph number and all. Perhaps we could change directions according to where he'sw at. Again thanks so much for your responce. Very much appreciated.

if no one will help u learn how to secure cars, then my suggestion to u is to go to an auto auction and watch some guys while they are doing it! u might get someone who gets mad but i am sure u will find someone who will not mind u watching them chain down cars, they may even explain to u some dos and donts. i have a friend that did that for a couple of weeks. he went to the closest auto auction and stayed out in the loading lot and watched guys load. some of them were nice enough to take time out and answer questions he had. some of them were ...holes and got mad at him, when he encountered them he just move on to the next one. if u dont have a trailer yet and r considering buying one, go to a dealer and ask them to demonstrate how to do it. u can learn this safely on your own. if u are very cautious and take ur time loading them and double check what u r doing u should be alright. an hour of extra time loading is alot better than having a damaged car. i learned on my own and never had any damages!
