I get paid by the statae to care for her, I signed up aa the Dept. of Senior and disabled citizens. If you are getting paid for your Mom, it should be the same place to sign up your Sister in Law for the care of your brother, |

How do I go about getting my husband paid for staying home and raising our daughter? He watches our daughter while I work. He couldn't get out of Jury Duty for the reason that he is the only one who can watch her during the day. They said he needed state documents sayig he is a caregiver. How do I get this started? |

My sister recently had a stroke, and now I've been taking care of her needs for about a month now. Because of this, I am unable to work. I heard about a progam that pays family member for this. We live in Minnesota why do I go to find out if I can get paid? |

I am 18 years old and have been taking care of my uncle for 5 months now in his own home . He is now disabled and has PML on the brain and the JC Virus . It has taken away all his mobility , and i have been taking care off all his needs . Making sure he takes his medication , giving him baths , changing him , etc . Its very hard with limited money to take care of all the bills . I had to quit work and school to take care of him . I am in much need of information on how to get paid by the state of Florida for being his caregiver . Any inforamtion would help . Thank you ! |

Here is a link to a website that shows all the different "waivers" that people may be eligible for. Click on your state to find out more. Here is the link, copy & paste.
I'm in the health care industry and often I come across people who have no idea these services even exists for disabled/ill individuals. I would suggest to get in contact with a social worker from your state and have them assist you in getting the services started. Often times it is a long wait but its worth it in the end. |

Here is another site, only for Florida residents though. My friend received services from this waiver. It is called the nursing home diversion program. State pays the family or friends an income for doing caregiving work for the person and for keeping them out of a nursing home.www.oppaga.state.fl.us/profiles/5023/ |
