Massachusetts Carpenters Union Rejects Obama Health Plan

The Massachusetts Carpenters Union has refused to insure a member's 24 year old daughter.

Obama's Health Care Plan now requires employers to cover children up to 26 years old, even if they are not living with the parent or a dependent. However in this case the 24 year old is living with her parents and a dependent (she is a graduate student).

Everything I have read says that this portion of the law goes into effect in 2010. Last I check it was 2010, so this law should be in effect.

Has anyone else ran into this problem with the Carpenter's Union or any other employer?
