How can I prepare myself for a category analyst intern positioin?

I just graduated with a degree in supply chain management. I have an internship for three months this summer as a category analyst. I have studied forecasting and inventory strategies among other quantitative analytical methods. What can I expect from an job like this?

Congrats on your internship! Hopefully you'll end up getting a full time job there.

Lately though, I've researched supply chain jobs and I've actually found some great information. I found this resource that talks about 6 SCM careers complete with salaries.
