how can i get the year experience if no one wants to give me a chance. i would hve went to school for something else if i knew i would never find a job. does any one have any suggestions?

i feel the same i work at a hospital to advance myself.and put in an application .my job had eight openings for medical assistant and no one would hire me because of lack of experience.what in the world.

Same thing in St. Paul/ Mpls MN. They want the experience but how do get it if no one is willing to give it to you. Heck I've even offered to work one week free just to show them I can do the job, the qualifications they seek, and willingness to provide at my expense for the week at no charge, any takers no. Any call to interview No, so now what do I do?

I understand. I have put out over a 100 resumes and still nothing. I have got to where I put on the coments section "Looking for someone to give me a chance to prove myself." I know how you all are feeling. Hope we all find work very soon.

I agree that it's extremely frustrating. I graduated with a great GPA and honors and still no luck with my MA job search. It really is a catch 22. Volunteering is a great idea but that can only take you so far since you are still considered a liability within a medical setting.
