I don't know of any free cna classes but if you go to CCRI, they have a 6 week program and the cost is about $500, so it's not too bad. |

There is one at, I believe the name is Saint Elizabeths in East Greenwich, RI they also have another site in Bristol. I did call and they said that the course is free you just have to work for them for 1 year, at least part time (3 days a week) Hope this helps. |

Which are more reliable?I am nervous about not getting job placement or help onces the course is done. |

THE CLASS I TOOK WAS HELD AT THE FISCHER BUILDING ON WEST GRAND BLVD. BUT TO SIGN UP AND TO GET THE INFORMATION FOR THE CLASS, YOU WILL HAVE TO GO DOWN TO MAC AND WOODWARD (AMERICAN RED CROSS). THEY WILL GIVE YOU ALL THE INFORMATION YOU NEED TO GET STARTED. BUT I PAID $600. AND THE CLASS WAS FOR THREE WEEKS. GOOD LUCK! |

THE WILL HELP YOU GET FREE CNA TRAINING IF YOU QUALIFY! THERE IS A GOVERNMENT PROGRAM THAT IS CALLED THE W.I.A PROGRAM THAT THEY HAVE THAT WILL PAY FOR YOU TO GET TRAINING IN CNA, MEDICAL BILLING AND CODING, MESSAGE THERAPY AND OTHER TRAINING PROGRAMS! BUT YOU CAN ONLY GET IT ONE TIME AND THATS IT! SO TRY TO GET THE MOST OUT OF IT! |

Does anyone know of a hospital or nursing home that would pay you for training and a guaranteed job after you pass the courses? There is an agency called Lifetime Medical,in your area that has nursing assistant training programs. In Woonsocket there is Friendly Nursing Home, Oaklawn Grove and Woonsocket Health Center and Saint Antoine's in North Smithfield. All are nursing homes that pay for training testing and provide jobs later. American Red Cross has a program. Also call the Department of Health they can provide you with listings of CNA training programs. As a CNA you will gain valuable hands on experience as a nurse. |

Yes, There is one in Grass Valley California at Golden Empire Convalescent Home. I keep asking when the new program will start and I am currently waiting for a call. They pay $9.00 and hour and train you so that you can take the state of California CNA certification test.
