If you are in Pittsburgh pa, Highland Park Care Center & Seneca has free cna classes, it is a 20 day program. Which is Grane Ind. Book included. Need watch, white scrubs n shoes. They pay for test if you except job, if not you pay $102, if hired or at current healthcare place they may pay. Jackie is the instructor at Highland Park, the number is 412-362-6622. Good luck!

Well it is your prefrence, but I would advice you to wait till after your child has arrived. Only because of the clinical portion of the program; not unless there is one without it, which I doubt. It has a lot of heavy lifting, turning, stretching and such, for one instance this could cause the cord to become trapped around your childs neck, which causes lack of air or stranglation while giving birth. Please take the childs health into consideration, with all the diseases you will come incontact with. Good Luck and Congradulations!

Why dont the people in Detroit look into the hospitals there. They usually have a three week course to take for what they consider PCT/ Patient Care Technicians just not certified.

i use to be certified as a cna and a have experience in this field, though 2 yr's ago i was in car accident and i scince then recovered and want to go back to work as a certified nursing assistant. my question is where can i go to reinstate my license , or go to school and not have to pay for it again, the problem is the school where i was certified as a cna , has now closed down , i cant contact them.......... so if someone can help me , i thank you .

I am 18 years old. Right now I work at a nursing home in Kittanning as a dietary aid. They used to certify, but they don't any more. I would like to get certified as a CNA and work while I go to school for my RN. I need places close to kittanning or indiana. I consider pittsburgh.

My sister has the CNA license and she challenged the exam. No training what so ever. What you can do is find out with your State Board of Nursing the requirements to get the CNA license and you may be able to challenge the exam. I mean to say you can just review for the exam yourself (skills test as well) and submit the application to take the exam. The test is very basic and common sense. You'll do well
