For cna training, go to work force one located in upper manhattan on 125th street. They give free vouchers. the pprocess takes agout two months but you dont have to pay the 1500 or more that most places are asking. I dont know the number off the top of my head but you can just google work force one. i just got approved for my voucher and i start school on the 28th .

Im sorry to here that you are just about homeless. I know the economy sucks right now. I have some information for you. A friend of mine work as a HHA for a HHA agency in brookln ny called Premier. They are located in the bayridge area. They have free classes(about two weeks) to get certified as a HHA and find you clients almost immediately after completion. However, they do not pay much but its a start and they have great benefits.

I was a Certified Nursing Assistant for the year 2001 and my liscense expired 2003.. I am very passionate with working with these patients and taking care of people is what i do.. SO i moved back to the islands to take care of my ill grandfather.. NOw im back in the mainland and i want to continue on in this field so do you know any facilities here in the Long Beach area that offers free CNA training would really appreciate it.. thanks again

How hard was it to get in? What were the hours? Does the training allow you to take the state exam and become a CNA?

no its not hard to get in and its like 4 weeks training m-f i think from 8am to 4 i suggest that you just get your training from them because they are not a good place to work for

yes to first time i applied i got in and they let you work as a cna until you completed the program when i completed the program they sent us to malcolm x college to take the certification test

no once you go through the program with them if you pass the certification test you go on the state registry i did the training and left but they did take 60 dollars out my paycheck because i broke contract with them there is also a place called presbyterian homes they also do free cna training and saint mary of the nazareth hospital they have an 8 week cna program its downtown chicago i cant give you the number indeed wont let me

yea as a matter of fact i left that company for one of their other branches they started me off with 11.50 an hour it was a nursing home in wauconda il and a company called lextington healthcare they start their cna off at 11.25 for new grads i do dsp work i find it to be better working with the disabled alot of companies train for that to
