CNA exam? in Rockford, Illinois said: i toook my CNA classes in the year 2009..but havent taken the exam yet? does anyone know if it is too late to take the exam now? will i have to retake the classes over? or is there a time limit at all? thanks!!!!

You are required to take the exam within 2 years of finishing the training class, but you can still take the exam. They give you 3 trys with in 2 years to pass. If you do not pass then you will have to take a training class over.

Okn i just did the same thing and moved from West Virginia. Everyone told me I could just transfer it! So not true! You actually have to take the test over! You contact Pearsonvue.com and the cost of the written and skills test are $101.

Carolina Allied Health Career Training has CNA and Medication Tech Classes. I'm not sure if they have CNA 2 but I know they have CNA 1 and refresher classes. I took the 4 day CNA class so that I could challenge the State exam. They give free CPR and First Aide certifications with the 4 day class. I passed the exam the first time. Give them a call or visit them www.carolinaalliedhealth.com. I misplaced the phone # but it's on the website. Good Luck!

So I have a few ?'s if anyone could answer them and are 100% sure their right that would be wonderful and greatly appreciated =)!! Also anyone who has taken it at Wake tech let me know how your test went and how was your evaluator ?? THANKS

On the Bedpan skill, after you pour "urine" into the toilet would you put water into a cup and then pour that into the bedpan or would you get water in the bedpan then just wash it and pour it into the commode? I am not sure if that would contaminate the sink. Also what is the bath blanket used for? To put the bath pad under them do you have to roll them on their side then put the rolled edge under them roll them the other way and pull them back? Then it under them or can you just put it under them whenever you put the bedpan under whenever their hips are raised?

I am have a been in a bad fianancial situation this last year and I am hoping that you can send me your book. It would greatly help boost me into a better situation starting this last quarter of the year-intern helping so many children. #PayItFoward

Hi, if you have your Va. CNA certificate and it has not expired, there is no need to take the class over. All you have to do is contact the NC state board of nursing and ask for reciprocation which is basically to have it transferred.

If you have the skills experience you can challenge the state exam. If you wanted to refresh your memory on anything written you can download the material from NCBON website (North Carolina Board of Nursing) & there are youtube videos demonstrating the skills.

I went their and was not impressed with the skills training. Their were too many students in class to effectively practice the 24 skills. I left their frustrated and ended up taking another refresher course that was longer and cost less located in Raleigh.
1 day is simply not enough time to practice 24 skills, especially if the class has more than 10 students.

I went to CNA NOW in Raleigh and PASSED MY EXAM after FAILING twice due to incorrect training at Hunter Health Career Academy.

A co-worker of mine just passed her exam and she went to Carolina Allied Health Training in Raleigh.

I wouldn't recommend anyone go to Hunter Health Career Academy. The NHA Accreditation is for their Phlebotomy training, NOT their CNA training.

Yes, there could be abbreviations in the written portion of the test. On the skills, you will be required to perform handwashing as one skill. After that you can tell them "I would wash my hands now". Good luck on the test!
