Normally you can become a CNA within 2 mo. It depends if your doing it though a school, privtie program, or otherwise. In a school setting, most classes last a semester and you do it so many hours a week. At HCC in Normal, IL they had a 8/hr on sat for 16 weeks or a 4/hr 2x a week for 16 weeks. The IDOH sets the time REQUIRED you be in class and clinical time. So you can only go so fast. Any class that takes longer then 16 weeks i would pass on and anything shorter then 8 weeks i would skip to. The stuff you need to know to be a CNA is not hard, but it does take time to learn it correctly and make sure you have it down. =) Hope that helps.

Try a nursing Home in or around the vicinity of your residents and see if they have a class being offered there. you may have to pay $250.00 upfront and they will reemburse you the money after six months. borrow the money from mom or dad or grandma a bank may even give you a loan or you could get a pay day loan.

You need to find a nursing home that is, or Home health agency to train you in the class to get certified. If you are getting fired from jobs you are either not lifting properly are to slow in getting people up and washed and dressed. or you arrive to late too may time's or are calling in sick. I would think twice about a job of this caliber for you it may be too difficult for you to do it takes love, patience, and stick to itedness people who have compassion and if you can't fake compassion well then get a job at Wal-Mart.

i just left Dallas an i had a time finding free classes in the dallas area, but if you stop by a grocery store or a gas station an grab one of those free Green sheet papers they have them listed in the back.

The only way we people in chicago can get any free training for a cna course is to apply for the WIA program. You get this information from the Illinois Workforce or go to your local unemployment office for the papers. You can also go to DHS for the information or Richard M. Daley College as well hope this helps.
