As an OT, I tend to agree that it's a lot of quackery... but a lot of this has more to do with the individual personalities themselves. I've been to a number of places where it appears that the clinicians are super-lazy and fly by the seat of their pants when their clients arrive. I've been to schools and have seen a lot of people doing nothing but hanging out and gossiping for hours at a time, chatting on the phone and collecting paychecks.
