What I enjoy about being a chaplain:
Being a listener to people who may not have experienced someone truly hearing them.
Finding connections between a person's illness and the pain in a person's spirit.
Observing the science of healing by offering patients and families a steady, calm, and non-anxious presence.
Bringing together all the stuff you learned in psychology and divinity courses, and utilizing that learning as an instrument of healing.
