Outdoor Opportunities for a Civil Engineer

What are career options for someone who would like to use their Civil Engineering skills, but would prefer to spend most, if not all, of their time working outside of the office? It seems like the typical consulting engineers who have or are acquiring their PE certification never get a chance to leave the office as part of their work. Construction comes to mind, any other suggestions? Without any regard for location or career level what are some specific job titles or companies with this kind of opportunity?
