Do some companies pay a lot more for this position than others? What does a top earner make in this field?

What skills should you learn to increase your salary?

salary range is usually 34 to 60k. Depending on the company, line of insurance and experience.

There is a training facility calle AEI which offers insurance classes. To excell in claims one must be thorough in documentation, aggressive in settlements, and able to provide exemplary customer service. This is definitely a job where experience counts. Coming from an entry level trainee position it is most important to pay attention to the company goals and measurements and always seek to exceed them.

Learn along the way all that you can and take no short cuts. Statutes and investigative requirements must not be overlooked. Time Deadlines must be met. Customer service should be outstanding. With this recipe you will be promoted and rewarded all other obvious characteristics are assumed. These would be strong work ethic, plays well with others, attendance, attitude, integrity.. ect.
