What are the top 3 traits or skills every class a driver must have to excel? Can you suggest any tips or insights to develop your class a driver expertise? |

Don't know if you would consider them "skills" but patience is by far the most important thing a driver can have - why? unfortunately most drivers right out of truck school want the high paying jobs, and they aren't there. Why is that? You have to pay your dues for high paying, high miles, great home time positions. "Job hopping" is the one thing a recruiter focuses in on - if you've had more than 3 job in 2 years a recuiter is going to wonder about your motivation. Money will come, get the experience first THEN talk about what the job SHOULD pay; no doctor came straight out of med school knowing how to do everything great, and no driver out of school knows everything. |
