Do some companies pay a lot more for this position than others? What does a top earner make in this field?

What skills should you learn to increase your salary?

I already have a cleaning job, I work at least 3.5 hours a day. Cleaning the clubhouse at a mobile home park. I'd like to know the average per hour rate for this type of job. I also do other jobs, for more hours, such as taking care of the library, the hot tub, the swimming pool, (summer) office help as needed, planting flowers, pulling weeds, and shoveling snow. But I'm mainly interested in the average hourly rate for cleaning.
Anyone have any ideas of what this should be? I've been with this particular company since 1994.
Thank You!

We pay $10.00 an hour for the cleaning person at our clubhouse but looking at giving a raise, she works about the same amount of hours you do. Can I ask about how much you make?

I don't get paid near what I'm worth for what I do. I only make $7.50. I not only clean the building, but I am the CPO for the pool & hot tub, and I take care of the library, (books & movies, etc), I help with the grounds occasionally pulling weeds, planting whatever, shoveling snow, etc. and I work in the office filling in for the manager whenever she needs time off. There are only 3-4 of us that work at the community.
That's the reason I asked about the pay, I'm going to have a little chat with corporate next time they come to town.

I find there is a big difference in pay working for a company cleaning compared to cleaning on your own. I clean houses and charge 15-20 dollars an hour and usually work 4.5 hrs per house. You do have to find the jobs yourself though which sometimes can be a chore but the pay is good once you get yourself known. In my area there is quite a few people looking to clean also so there is the competion for jobs, but you just keep advertising. I did clean for a company before and it wasn't worth it for me.
