What is a virtual Job fair?

I feel really old because when I started looking for jobs initially, all I had to do was go to the establishment and give my resume to the hiring manger and that was it. Then suddenly I returned back to college to further my education and everything is 180 degrees different. No one accepts resumes in hardcopy form anymore, the rules of dress have drastically changed for an interview, it just boggles the mind. I honestly don't know what I'm doing wrong because I can't even get a callback from a fastfood chain working part-time. But back to my inital question, does a virtual job fair guarantee employment or is it just a job fair to keep you from leaving home?

I am looking for a clerical job. I have skills in scanning,indexing and filing.
