I am looking to move to Florida and wonder if anyone knew of any positions available for CRA's or even Pharmacovigilance Coordinators. I would like to have a position before making the move, even would be willing to commute for regional positions.

Thank for your help,
Tammie

Hello,

I am currently interested in making a move to the Port Saint Lucie/Stuart/Jupiter area of Florida. I am wondering if there are any in-house Clinical Research Associate positions available in that area. I'm not very familiar with Florida and am just beginning my search so any information on potential CROs or other organizations that offer these types of positions would be helpful.

Thank you!

I am a foreign graduate with MS in medical biotechnology and a 6 months working experience in an NIH project. I had been out of this field for past 5 years due to lack of research in and around the Area i was living in. I am now legally allowed to work in USA and would like to join the field of clinical research. From the discussions on the forums i realized if i do the online program from MSU for GCP guidelines and do the NIH online program for protecting Human subjects participants i stand a chance to obtain a job. But i was wondering where and how to start the application process. At the universities or CRO'S.
Also what is the scenario of clinical research assistants jobs in south Florida.
Thanks

Rimzaa,

I highly suggest that you start applying to companies now- you already have all the qualifications you need to get started in the industry. I feel it would be a waste of your time and efforts to get another masters degree. In the USA, experience is the most important thing- education and training always comes in second.

Look at moving to NC, TX or NJ and getting an entry level clinical research job.

Thank you Bryan. I am emailing my resume to a couple of places with no response at all. I wonder if it was the lack of in house work experience on my part.

hi rimzaa, try applying in CRO's (Contract Research Organizations). These are companies contracted by multinational pharmaceutical companies to outsource their clinical research. Most of CROs are not really after certifications... GodBless!
