I have been through this forum since 3 days,, I read all the posts.. and i have concluded that these american scitech, or Clinwell.. they claims they do provide internship and all,, but the only positive responses for those 2 are from their staffs only..so basically i do not believe them

So I have decided not join any of them, If anybody could suggest me any good university or institute in NJ where i could get training, I do have past experience with One of the research center in INDIA, Now I have MS in Pharmacology & Toxicology.

I need to get a certificate because some of CROs require certified CRA or CRC.

Thank You

I believe the certification they are requiring is ACRP or SOCRA, not one of these courses. The only way you can even sit for the exam is after you have experience.

I completed CRA training at Clinwell, NJ last Spring. They were promising internship right after certification. They offered unpaid internship for 6 months and wanted me to pay them $4000 for the placement after $3000 already paid for the training. No fees for internship were mentioned in the contract. Do not trust them! This company is money oriented only, they do not provide good training nor internship positions. Save your money for the other opportunities!

yes, the type of certification that companies want is through professional organizations such as ACRP or SoCRA. you have to have a CRA job for at least 2 years to even have a chance to take the test.

the 'certification' that educational companies offer are not legitimate in the industry and do not guarantee a position. the training they provide is NOT required to get a job in the industry- i have never met anyone working in clinical research that went to any sort of training academy before landing a job.

but how do you get experience when every job post requires 1-2 years experience? you have to start at the bottom and learn the basics before you can be a CRA! start as a CRC or CTA and work your way up- it's an entry level position where you are making money gaining real-world experience. the training schools take your money and don't give you any real-world experience.

From my personal experience with them the Clinwell personel were very kind and friendly until the third payment of $1000, which I have been charged about 2 week earlier than planned and discussed with them.

Shortly after taking the Krigger online test I was offered 6 month long unpaid Clinical Research Coordinator (please note, not Clinical Research Associate!) internship for an additional $4000. Of course I declined the offer because I was promised internship for free when I was signing up for the course. After that they completely lost any interest in me.

As I figured out later my teacher at Clinwell was a former Clinwell's student which finished the course a month before I started there.

In addition I could say that someone other than asian Indian has a very low chance of getting an internship and placement help after taking the CRA course at Clinwell.

The most important point is that Krigger Clinical Trial Specialist course is available online for much less money. Most of the study materials including certification test have been taken from there.
