What are typical clinical social worker salaries? Do some companies pay a lot more for this position than others? What does a top earner make in this field?

I have been using salary.com etc to identify salaries in my are. In addition cbsalary.com indicates $50,034 as a national average with a low of 36,108 & a high of 84,397.

50K would be high end... most are high 30's and mid 40's depending on experience for companies. Private practice can be no net income through 6 figures depending on acceptance of insurance v. private pay v. scope of practice.
Being licensed definately inceases your salary rate but most companies set that around 5%. Expertise and specialization are definately the way to enhance a low salary for a master's degree.
