How did you get your start doing collections specialist work, and what career moves did you make to get to your current position?

I started as an entry-level collector. This type of job would be equivalent to an entry-level dialer collection job. I eventually was promoted to a supervisor position. I left the workforce for a few years. When I went back to work I started again in an entry-level job and moved up again. I made a point of studying whatever industry I worked in, and always knew a lot more than whatever basics were required for my own job.

I am looking for a high level Credit position in the San Diego county area. I have 21 years of credit management experience in the following fields: Building Products, Footwear and Apparel and Electrical/Automation. Does anyone know a copy that is looking. I have tried the standard job boards including NACM but haven't found what I'm looking for.
I am currently emplyed in the Footwear industry and it's not my cup of tea. Any suggestions?
