I think there is a definite rise in the HR industry overall. HR Departments as a whole are starting to be recognized as a strategic partner in the business and will only further along the field. This also includes compensation since they determine the salary and bonus structures of companies. The down side to that is that compensation groups tend to be small so it will increase the competitve landscape of landing one these specialized roles.
