Network Systems Data Communcations Analysts

I have been looking into this job and was wondering if someone can tell me what the job is like? Are you required to work overtime? What is it like to design LAN and WAN? Do you have to do presentations? And if you do is it with a group of people or by yourself? Do you usually work on your own throughout the day or with other co-workers? Even though this job is growing rapidly, are there a ton of lay offs? Is the job really hard or do you get use to it very quickly once you start? Do you have to get alot of certifications? Are there mostly males that work in this field?
