New in town looking for advice

I'm moving soon to Miami (from Puerto Rico) and have started sending resumes. I'm a Computer Technician, with good analytically skills, fluent spanish speaker. I already applied to Best Buy/CompUSA though I'm also looking forward to know more about other stores available to apply in or if any employer is looking for a computer technician I'll be happy to apply.

I'm seeking advice on what to prevent in interviews I'm sure they are (slightly) different from where I come from and things like how long should I wait for a call and so on, I'm a fast learner and very capable.
