A concierge MUST:

1. speak at least two foreign idioms
2. know the city by living it, not only by word of mouth
3. be open minded and very flexible

Three tips:

1. do not stop being curious and willing to learn something new
2. try to think twice faster than the person who stands on the other side of the desk
3. give always correct and detailed informations, if you do not know something properly take your time and call back the guest in his room as soon as you are sure you got proper informations

Well,
some Spanish would be of great help.
A second could be French.

I do not suggest you to learn Arabic, Chinese or Japanese since they're just too hard to be spoken and written correctly within a decent amount of time unless you REALLY want to.

I personally speak French, German, Spanish, Italian (since I'm Italian) and English.

Keep on studying, the concierge job is quite hard :)

You must be able to do anything, and if you can't do something learn how to do it (fast).

A Concierge is an electrician, and IT engineer, a plumber, a shrink, a nurse, a meteorologist, a thief (don't get me wrong: you must be able to pick up guests' locks when they forget the keys at home), a barman, a cook, a sommelier, a tobacconist's, Bruce Lee (yes, you gotta know how to protect yourself from angry chinese drunkards who try to steal you phone), Chuck Norris (so that nobody will try to intimidate you) and sometimes you will be also asked to be God, but do not mind, God is the GM of a bigger hotel while Saint Peter is its Concierge (why should he hold the keys if he wasn't?), you can always pick up the phone, call your God and ask for suggestions.
