Well,
I do not suggest you to learn Arabic, Chinese or Japanese since they're just too hard to be spoken and written correctly within a decent amount of time unless you REALLY want to. I personally speak French, German, Spanish, Italian (since I'm Italian) and English. Keep on studying, the concierge job is quite hard :) |

A Concierge is an electrician, and IT engineer, a plumber, a shrink, a nurse, a meteorologist, a thief (don't get me wrong: you must be able to pick up guests' locks when they forget the keys at home), a barman, a cook, a sommelier, a tobacconist's, Bruce Lee (yes, you gotta know how to protect yourself from angry chinese drunkards who try to steal you phone), Chuck Norris (so that nobody will try to intimidate you) and sometimes you will be also asked to be God, but do not mind, God is the GM of a bigger hotel while Saint Peter is its Concierge (why should he hold the keys if he wasn't?), you can always pick up the phone, call your God and ask for suggestions. |
