Age

#7 years in construction and most of which was as a Superintendent although I did spend some time as a Project Manager. Now companies don't think about experience in the field or how you climbed the ranks from Labor to Superintendent. All they look for is a younger person with a CM Degree, with no knowledge of how things are put together. Why? Because they can pay them less then us older guys. They can't think on their feet or come up with a fix to problems. All they know is what the book told them and they defer everything to thier Project Manager who also knows only what a book has told him.
