are we to old without the 4 year degree

It's been 14 months now, I've been looking online and hitting the concrete (like we have always done) I now have over 500 resumes out not uncluding the hand delivered ones and I have been told that I'm am to old, white, and don't have a 2 or 4 year degree. When did construction turn minority only (Brasfield&Gorey) and when did you have to be certified in plate compactors and and hammers and such with a degree to work in any trade. I've seen how 5 lazy workers huddle around one and say there tired and wine because you split them up so they have to work or go home.
