How did you get your start doing continuous improvement manager work, and what career moves did you make to get to your current position? Do you need a particular educational background? |

I started as a maintenance engineer. I worked for the underground and mobile equipment maintenance for 10years. Then i did a training in Lean , 5S especially . I also took the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt course by a comapany called George"s Group in the US. I managfed a project in GB and had a certificate. I futher enhanced my continuous improvement skills by undertaking Lean Six Sigma Black Belt course by the same group. Since 2005 i had made career change and am now the CI Manager of a Multinational Mining Company.Beside the qualification you need to have passion for results and change. Your appreciation for statistics would be useful. |
