Yes, in order to get an entry level position, you must have at leaset five years of experience. Good Luck... Seriously, there are some low level contract support positions that could be a stepping stone to a contract specialist position with the government or a frim. These support postions are titled in various terms, such as procurement, purchasing, buyers, supply management and the like. Researching the details of some of these positions will reveal some of the basic requirements for an entry level contract specialist. Couple one of these support positions with intense independent study of contract law, including large long term contracts for goods and services, and you will have all the skills and knowledge you need to be a successful contract specialist... |
