Do you have any tips to help prepare for an upcoming corporate paralegal interview? Are there common interview questions that come up again and again? |

Hi, DLP.. I have some questions for you. I'm currently a sophomore in college (I'm 26 and currently work as a hairdresser and I hate it). I'm thinking about getting a paralegal certificate starting in September as well as finishing my college degree. The reason I am attracted to the paralegal field is because I love writing and researching. I'm also passionate about the environment and would like to get involved with environmental law. I have read a lot of your posts and it seems like you would encourage people who are considering to become a paralegal to look into other fields. Am I right about this or did I misunderstand? I really want to make a good decision. I don't want to be unhappy the rest of my life. I am already in a field that I absolutely HATE. Any advice you can give me would be so very much appreciated. Thanks for your time. |

Is it really that bad? It also seems like from the job listings I have looked at, it seems like most paralegal positions require somewhere between 3-5 years of experience before they will even look at your resume and sometimes these jobs still don't pay much. I just feel so confused. I'm not sure what to do. I have heard good and bad things about this line of work... Is the environment really that toxic? What makes it so toxic? Do you think it is possible to get into environmental law or something like that where you would really feel like you are making a difference? That's what I want to do. |
