How did you get your start doing corporate trainer work, and what career moves did you make to get to your current position?

Do you need a particular educational background?

I networked and landed a job as a contract trainer and was later offered a permanent for the company I was contracted to at the time.

The position required that you have a 4 year degree or higher, and certify in the training program on all levels. You met all levels over time and time permitted. It was required that you had prior training experience which I have a masters in education providing me with the necessary skills needed to move forward.

I have since moved to a different area of the company, but remain in the training mode providing workshops to others.

I am currently looking for an entry-level position as a trainer. I have a masters degree but little experience. Do anyone know of any jobs that are hiring?

I am planning to "re-launch" my career in corporate training / human resources. I was a sales and marketing professional for 12 years prior to taking a 7 year break to raise my family. My bachelor's degree is in Psychology. Looking for advice on how to break into corp training.

Always put in your mind, that you have balls of steel! Or the employees will rip you to shreds. Pretend that you have had a couple of (your choice) shots from the bar and go out and let it all hang out. You'll be the star of your company.

I have a teaching credential and I am now pursuing an AA degree in finance. I read in the LA Times that having business skills is necessary to be a corporate trainer. My BA is in art with a minor in psychology, and I was a high school teacher (Earth Science). I am very interested in helping people become debt free as I have been for three years, and I enjoy empowering people of all ages to realize their goals.
