D in Bothell, Washington 7 months ago	It's probably the written test and the video assessment is a test that shows you different situations in the corrections position you may face. I am not sure if they are going to make me take them out since we are actually entering in the prison. D in West Sacramento, California 6 months ago	LOL now it says Cali :)~ OK if you make it through the interview tomorrow after that you take the psychology test then if you pass that you meet with the psychologist then if you make it past that you get hired. D in Bothell, Washington 6 months ago	Yeah we are, first it's going to be in front of 2 people then someone else from HR so be ready for 2 interviews. The biggest thing is to be honest. I blank out when I get interviewed (a lot, it's pathetic really) I'm just hoping tomorrow honesty and sincerity are gonna pull it out for me. You can almost count on "Why do you want to be a corrections officer?" or some variation of the question. D in West Sacramento, California 6 months ago	No..... I got so sick yesterday when it was over cause I had myself so worked up. I have butterflies super bad now. K in Sammamish, Washington 6 months ago	Yea no I feel the same. I kept laughing and smiling yesterday in the room cuz I was so nervous at a couple points haha. Apparently when i am eally nervous I laugh and smile hahahaha. Who did you talk to? I talked to Kari I think is her name . . . the one that performed the video assessment and spoke the most yesterday, and then the two gentlemen sitting by the wall on the left one shorter one with longer hair and glasses. D in Bothell, Washington 6 months ago	Thanks :) My next goal is probably to apply with the police departments in their corrections, I know Marysville had openings a while ago, but I need to get myself physically ready cause that one does require the PAT test.... K in Sammamish, Washington 6 months ago	I still haven't heard! UGH. Yea PD is always taking recruitments. The PAT isn't hard though. I looked into it (even though I don't want to be a police officer, I really want to be a counselor) and their requirements aren't too hard. Just a little training and committment and you should be fine hun. If I don't get this I am going to wait on my applications for the EG group home in snoqualmie. I would love to work with juveniles. D in Snoqualmie, Washington 6 months ago	I applied for the detention center first but I wasn't qualified for that at all. I wanted to do more with rehabilitation of offenders and I did say that so maybe that's where I went wrong when I interviewed. I really think I'm going to take a break from applying for a couple months and get myself together physically and kind of breathe cause this was such an emotionally charged experience for me that I need to just step back for a little while. - Was this comment helpful? K in Sammamish, Washington 6 months ago	So I sent them an email the other day asking about it and they gave me two calls this morning. One was from Mr. Cooper saying that all the rejection letters had gone got already and that if I haven't heard then they are just still checking on my work history through the Washington DOC. My first call this morning was from Ethcis with the Washington DOC and then I had to fax them some W-2 forms and I guess they called all my previous employers. So I should be good to go! They are just waiting on one more employer to get back to them. I'm so excited and so happy right now! I just hope I get through the whole rest of the hiring process! MakoMike in Henderson, Nevada 6 months ago	I have to take 2 different "Video Based Written Exams" next week for the Deputy City Marshal and the Municipal Court Marshal. Does anybody have an idea what these are? Is there any way I can prepare? I just found out TODAY that I have to take them in less than a week, and have no clue.
