POSITION DESCRIPTION:
A leader in the social infrastructure development industry is seeking a Cost Accountant to join their fast-paced accounting department in Glendora, CA. The primary function of this position is to ensure that balances are properly recorded. The incumbent will report to the Senior Cost Accountant.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Verifying Inventory balance, Sales and Cost of Sales, as well as gross margins through standard cost analysis
• Coordinate with the operations department regarding physical inventory and ensure all adjustments are documented, as well as ensuring all stock transfer orders and inter-company sales have also been recorded
• Assist with the financial close by preparing and presenting account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statements

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or equivalent experience required
• 2-4 years minimum of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing industry
• General accounting experience a plus
• SAP or ERP knowledge a plus
• Strong fluency in MS Office (Word, Excel)
• Solid communication skills, both written and verbal
