Mental Health counseling positions seem to be declining as state/local funding has been cut.
Substance Abuse counseling positions seem to be increasing- but the pay for these positions is low.

Opportunities are more abundant and varied for licensed social workers than licensed counselors. However there seems to be a push to do more contract services or fee-for-service jobs than salaried positions with benefits in both fields.

Anybody notice anything else?
