Yes, Each company varies greatly. I am a CSS as well. in this field if you have been with it long enough 20 to 30k a year if you demonstrate the role as a good supervisor. As far as skills go. You should be able to demonstrate outstanding leadership upon your crew. The abilty to make effective decsicions is a must, The knowledge of the registers, emergency codes, procedures, handheld terminals(depending on where you work), you should know how to type as well.One of the biggest, the abilty to show outstanding customer service to each and every customer, stimulate your crew. Some places requires a lengthy test, and you have to be able to pass it in order to be qualified for it. It just depends on the company. Hope this helps. Good luck... =)
