What are the top 3 traits or skills every data analyst must have to excel?

Personally I would say:
-Good relationship and communication skills.
As with any business role, keeping your customer happy (be they internal or external) is paramount.
-Organisation
Being able to manage your own workload and prioritise is essential
-Being above average computer literate
Data analysts will need to use a multitude of applications and understand the differences between them. Business Objects, SAS, MS Access, MS Excel, SQL Server, Oracle server to name a few.
