There's simply no work right now. Guys that say they are deckhands are a dime a dozen. You gotta have an AB ticket to even stand a chance. And if you got no idea what AB stands for... Don't even bother to look for work. Plenty of old-timers on the beach and no need for a boat or company to hire a greenhorn when you can get a guy with years of being a deck ape to work for a 100 bucks a day right now.

Look little brother don't give up.If theres work on the west coast stay there.But if your heart is set on the GOM try Crosby tugs,If you have experience!Things are going to stay slow until there is a change i Washington.
