you need to be strong.this job is not for everybody i've seen more people quit after just to weeks people just dont understand the job there is nothing fun about it if you like hard work allright pay and arent affraid to get hurt or worse then go to paducha ky there are plenty of jobs bht wkn tvt ingram hire all the time

know your knots! learn the basics of seamanship, be patient, because there are many salty dogs and hard@sses on some of these boats and you've just got to learn how to put up with a Captain or mate's crap sometimes, learn to enjoy the time to yourself and not think about home (if you are leaving for an extended period of time) be ready to W.O.R.K.
