The doc I'm working for just recently bought the practice. After such a hefty purchase he is doing some penny pinching, I mean it's getting crazy! He wont let me throw anything away- broken instruments, expired material, old broken equipment from years ago- serious dental hoarder! Anyway, my biggest concern is his wanting to continue to use any and every old expired material he can find. I need to know what are the laws on this? What happens when a use old excited materials such as bond, composite, topical, cement... Ect. how should I handle this situation?? I was taught in school never to use expired material always check and throw them out. When I confront the doc about it he says the materials are still good 6 min to a year past expiration. I don't believe this to be true and don't want to be allowing anything bad to happen- these are real ppl we are using this stuff on after all! :/ thoughts...?
