My dream right now is to become a dental assistant. What type of fine motor control/ manual dexterity and is needed to do the job? I have no problems , cooking , holding utensils to eat, writing, or applying eyeliner but sometimes my hands just tremble. I am confident about being able to pass the dentist tools and perform suction but in my state dental assistants can remove sutures and apply sealants and I don't know if I have the fine motor control to do something like that. Are there any other dental assistants out there with slightly shaky hands? If so how do you handle your day to day tasks? Any advice would be appreciated.

I think when your in that position.. you will rise to the occasion and put more pressure on yourself to not shake while operating.. I also have shaky hands but when you are focused, it will not be a problem.
