What is the difference in duties and pay between Desktop Support vs Desktop Support Analyst?

I have been wanting to take the next step within my IT carer, but I can't figure out would I gain anything from going from working as a Desktop Support person to a Desktop Support Analyst.

What's your feedback about these positions?

How long you've been in IT?

For reference, any type of Desktop Support is a limited field. Trust me, I've been doing it for over 15 years. Most Desktop positions will contract with little or no options to hire.

If you're looking to stay in IT then get out of Desktop and look for some path into Systems or Network.
